Community for Lake Merritt hopes to steer the Rotary nature Center towards a new heyday, responsive to the current needs of the community. In our vision, Oaklanders will once again see the Rotary Nature Center and Lake Merritt Wildlife Refuge as key places to gather, experience, and learn about nature. Initially we plan to revitalize the exhibits, develop outdoor signage about the refuge, expand the programs, provide teaching aids and much more.
